Senior leaders and executives often need more flexible and immediate access to executive coaching and organizational development consultation.
This consulting retainer will give you access to the strategic and tactical expertise you need, when you need it.
What’s Included:
Our agreement entitles you to unlimited 24/7 access to me via phone, email, and text. I return all messages no later than the next business day, although in practice response time is often much quicker and includes nights and weekends, barring any unforeseen emergencies.
Meeting are scheduled in advance and can take place over the phone or via Zoom.
These services can be offered to an individual leader or a leadership team. If it’s for a leadership team, alignment meetings will be included.
The scope of possible services may include any of the following, based on our discussion of your needs:
Initial in-depth synchronous meeting to outline goals, scope, history/context, and challenges.
Stakeholder/sponsor alignment meetings - Regular meetings with senior leader/executive to focus on any longer-term goals and strategies that require routine follow-ups.
Follow-up by phone, email, or text as needed
Researching and providing additional resources (e.g., articles, handouts, slides), and recommendations
Reports and recordings of the sessions (per goals and contract agreement)
Strategic and tactical advice and objective sounding board as needed in between regular meetings related to identified goals and strategy. These are individualized and mutually agreed upon.
Recommending models, frameworks, and resources as needed to meet goals and strategies.
Administrative expenses & management
Common topic areas that often come up for strategy retainers include questions such as these:
How do I/we maintain cohesion when employees feel untethered and uncertain about change?
How do I/we lead staff who are burned out, supporting them while also continuing to hold them accountable (and not taking the work on myself)?
How do I/we manage disconnection, disengagement, quiet quitting, etc.?
How do I/we help our managers know how and when to mentor vs. coach vs. supervise?
How do I/we manage generational spanning between the Baby Boomer generation and the Gen Z generation?
How do I/we create psychological safety?
How can I/we manage a toxic employee?
How do I/we engender a psychologically healthy and inclusive workplace?
What do I/we need to consider for our culture change initiative regarding getting people on board?
How do I/we implement this change in a way that is received well, is sustainable, and where people can fully own it?
OUt of scope:
The following areas are within our expertise but not considered part of a strategy retainer arrangement as they require specific and dedicated scoping, customized designing, planning, and scheduling with multiple team members. We would be happy to talk with you about adding any of these to the retainer package using a bundled discount.
Career or leadership development: We have specific comprehensive packages developed specifically to help individuals identify their strengths and potential pitfalls, make career and leadership decisions, and identify and grow into their next level role. You can read more about that option here.

Assessments and debriefing results are commonly used to inform strategy and goal-setting. These are included as critical components of career, leadership, and team development engagements. They can also be purchased as a stand-alone or can be included for free with any strategy retainer that is purchased for a minimum 6-month engagement.
FEES
The current fee for this service starts at $2,000 per month with a 3-month minimum. After the initial 3 months, the retainer can be canceled at any time with a 15-day advance notice. These fees are subject to change over time.
For a minimum 6-month retainer, we include at least one assessment (e.g., 360-degree feedback), debriefing meeting with a report of implications and recommendations to guide strategy, plus a long-term client discount for quarterly or annual payments.
Invoicing occurs monthly as a base rate for full access to these services.
If travel is required, an additional flat fee would be determined based on the extent of travel expected.
