Effectively preparing for any leadership transition requires you to evaluate the following 5 things:

  1. Uncertainty: What uncertainty am I managing (and how do I gain more clarity in navigating that uncertainty)?

  2. Identity: What kind of leader am I becoming (and how do I step up to that new challenge)?

  3. Strategy: What do I need to let go of that will no longer serve me (and what do I need to embrace) to lead in this next phase?

  4. Complexity: How do I make sense of the expectations, politics, unspoken rules, team dynamics, and other complex factors so I can navigate complex challenges adaptively?

  5. Impact and Influence: What are the skills I need to develop to lead sustainably and generatively and make a greater impact?

Doing these things can sound overwhelming or nebulous, but it doesn’t have to be. You just need the right framework, plan, and support crew.

 

​The Strategic Leadership Resiliency Intensive ("The Accelerator") Fellowship is…

​A comprehensive 5-week system for building strategic resilience, navigating power dynamics, and developing leadership capacity. It includes:

  • ​Strategic Leadership Resilience Fellow certificate for graduates who complete the program

  • ​Essential Toolkit download (slides, workbook, resources)

  • ​Group coaching for each content area

  • ​3-month private community access with a comprehensive resources library of past workshops

  • ​3 months of live Strategy Office Hours

​The curriculum covers:

  • ​Week 1: Build grounded, authentic leadership style

  • ​Week 2: Create strategic priority systems that help you get grounded and build resilience

  • ​Week 3: Develop teams while building bridges

  • ​Week 4: Navigate complexity with integrity while building capacity

  • ​Week 5: Design sustainable impact plans

​Designed to meet participants wherever they are in their careers, from early-career leaders building momentum to experienced leaders shaping teams and systems, this Accelerator offers a more comprehensive learning experience, practical tools, and support to build sustained influence, meaningful change, resilience, and leadership capacity today and into the future. Outcomes happen immediately and many graduates continue on with the Towerscope Leadership Academy to keep growing, learning, and gaining more skills (and certificates!).

Note: This program often qualifies for professional development funding and approved retention measures. Check with your organization!

 

Wondering if this program is right for you?

This program is ideal if you:

✅ Work in an industry where it’s common for technical experts to move into leadership roles (e.g., healthcare, higher ed, STEM, tech)

✅ Have served in at least one leadership role

✅ Are woman-identifying or an ally (since we’ll be addressing socialized gender-related norms)

This program is NOT ideal if you:

🛑 Haven’t served in any leadership role.

🛑 Are not interested in engaging in a group cohort format.

🛑 Are looking for therapy, counseling, or life coaching. (If these services are identified as an additional need, we can discuss how best to engage with this community while also seeking out additional support outside the program.)

  • Currently we are running it as a fully virtual program.

  • All sessions are recorded and length of access depends on which option you choose. However, the community and live coaching are key for building connection and sharing different perspectives, so we encourage live participation when possible.

  • It is 2 hours per week live (learning + group coaching) plus about 30 minutes or less for practice between sessions.

  • ​Lab: Need a quick focus on stability and overwhelm management. 

    ​Accelerator: Ready for comprehensive overview of strategic transformation. 

    ​Bundle: Want both immediate relief and long-term development.

  • This program was designed specifically for people who mostly work in limited funding organizations or have limited funding themselves. The cost of a program like this is typically $1,000 to $2,000 per person when we work with sponsoring organizations.

    As such, it is already priced at a fraction of the value - and made to specifically meet the needs of individuals who may need to pay out of pocket.

    That said, there several great ways to save money, as follows - ask us about these if you are interested:

    1. If you pull together a group of qualified applicants, we can create a group discount.

    2. Many organizations have professional development budgets. Check with your department to see if they can support all or part of the cost of the program! (See information in the next question about how to make a strong pitch.)

  • If you are pursuing reimbursement from your organization and need an invoice letter, a letter to request funding, or an invoice that allows the institution other options to pay directly, you may use any of the resources below:

  • This is meant to be comprehensive to meet many of your needs. But if you do need more 1:1 support, we offer executive coaching and you can find out more from our website.

  • We do not restrict participants simply due to industry. We suggest reaching out to us to talk through whether this would be a good fit based on the industry you are in.

    • With our divided attention sometimes we need to learn outside of work, in small chunks, and self-directed to develop your individual career journey goals.

    • Career development is no longer linear - people have gaps that are both horizontal and vertical. That is especially true for women with additional caregiver responsibilities. This allows you to develop a more flexible leadership development pathway.

    • Continuous learning and growth, that is not connected to what your organization may offer you, is a more sustainable competitive advantage that is within your control, at a time when you need it.

  • This group is NOT a good fit of those who want:

    • Training only (instead of development). This is an interactive program requiring engagement, trying things out, and giving and receiving support, not a place to sit back and listen.

    • (Solely) a support or friendship group. While group members will receive plenty of support and develop lasting relationships, this program is focused on helping leaders set, accomplish, and sustain their goals.

    • Therapy, counseling, or life coaching. If these services are identified as an additional need, we can discuss how best to engage with this community while also seeking out additional support outside the program.

  • If you have been in a leadership role, tried the self-help resources, know that learning from others helps you grow as well, and now need more of a roadmap, the next step is to either work 1:1 with a coach or engage in a more structured group program.

    The 1:1 coaching option is more expensive but totally worth it if you have the funds. We do offer that to individuals who are ready and you can explore that further on our coaching services webpage here.

    If on the other hand, you are not ready for a 1:1 coaching or you had 1:1 coaching and now want to branch out to more of a community experience where you can also learn from and network with others, this would answer that need.

    So, in all, if you’ve already tried the self-paced training and learning and also understand the value of community and group cohort experiences, then this is the next logical step if you really want more help about how to navigate your next steps. 

  • Participants get 3-month community access and ongoing connection opportunities through our network. We also offer other opportunities for more intensive ongoing learning for those who want to continue.
