There is a leadership development gap for women and marginalized leaders.
We know from research that women:
are undersupported
are inadequately mentored and under-sponsored
often experience insufficient access to leadership development training
This gap compounds over time, which leaves leaders, especially women and marginalized leaders, experiencing unnecessary barriers to success.
It’s one of the major reasons women and marginalized leaders consider leaving their leadership roles or the organization as a whole.
Without sufficient support, managers and leaders are likely to experience:
Feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or burned out
Feeling isolated
Routinely blindsided, as if they are missing something they should know
Wanting to create a strategic vision but not sure where to start
Frustrated by harmful organizational politics
Unsure of how to manage unhealthy behaviors they are noticing in the workplace
Feeling at a loss for how to break through barriers to success at successive stages of leadership growth.
We also know that most people who receive executive leadership development coaching and consulting are in top roles of their organizations, where there are few women and marginalized leaders due to ongoing structural inequitable practices.
As a result, it’s a vicious cycle: Fewer women receive these high-level leadership development services, which adds to lack of access to the very resources that would help them with their career advancement.
As a result of these and other barriers, many women are now dropping out of leadership - at a time we need them most.
We need you and we’re here to help break the cycle.
